About

Christina is a makeup artist, and the veils in the name are the two kinds she works with: a sheer wash of tint on skin, and the tulle over a bride’s face.

A woman seen from behind at her dressing table, a white gown slipping from her shoulders, one hand raised to her hair beside a tall mirror; painted in thin strokes of white, gray-blue and rose.
Berthe Morisot, Woman at Her Toilette, 1875–80. Art Institute of Chicago

Veils by Christina is a beauty journal and the shop for The Veils, Christina’s own line of sheer color.

The journal covers skin, makeup, hair, nails and fragrance; the sleep, food and stress that show on a face; and the year before a wedding.

It is written for people who wear little makeup, or would like to wear less, and who read the ingredient list first.
